type='text'>大概3个月前，当我同朋友讨论中国的现状时，我依然比较乐观。我认为尽管有很多问题，但总体上中国在一个平稳的发展轨道上，看不到近期的巨大社会危机隐患。昨天通过杨继绳十年前的书《邓小平时代：中国改革开放纪实》，回顾了91年之前15年的历史，我一点乐观的理由都没有了。之前的乐观情绪说明，我真的很中产了。改革开放前十年其实是很动荡的一个时期。1990年之前我们经历了多次大规模社会运动和动荡。这些活动具有强烈的政治色彩和背景，经济原因有时是主要的动因，但无论如何最后都成为了政治问题。回顾来看，那些动荡涉及各个阶层，虽然现在的社会阶层更加复杂和多样。80年的活动基本上都有精英的知识分子阶层参与。但这个阶层目前也是中国非常软弱的群体，甚至这个群体在历史上最软弱的一个时期。士已不存。我要说的是，至少从整个80年代的历史看，发生社会动荡是相对频繁和容易的，因此中国社会并不缺乏产生这类活动的社会能量。</summary><link type='text'>周六去奥林匹克国家网球中心顶风打球，算是实现了奥运会时来这里看球时的愿望。秋风扫落叶，人去场空在。看到一个昂贵而且舒适的设施在那里，却人迹罕至，自然有种心痛的感觉。鸟巢则变成了另一个历史遗迹旅游胜地。来朝的游客可以穿上运动员的颁奖服留影，为到此一游立此存照，（只是没有中国运动员在此领奖）也算另一种意淫。场内安排的是很多模特，身着各色服装，刻意再现8月盛况。也算一种中国式幽默。早在盛会开始前几年就有诸多声音质疑花费巨资搞奥运的合理性。当然说了也白说。官方一直强调奥运后的场馆管理和利用的潜力。不知道鸟巢依靠收游客50元门票将如何实现维护成本的平衡。我很欢迎网球中心收取100元的做法。虽然远了点。但依然很怀疑官方如何利用并保持赛后的收支平衡。中轴线北的奥林匹克公园果然成了一大块昂贵的纪念地。当你站在其中，有种感觉，仿佛是刚搞了费了老劲才搞到的皇后俱乐部的贵小姐。射完之后感到无名空虚，无所适从。</summary><link type='text'>要想知道美国人，或者美国的知识精英对正在发生的经济衰退的恐慌，可以看看《纽约时报》昨天的社论。他们几乎用呼吁地口气寄望中国政府（当然还是那个政府）动用看得见的手鼓励消费：当然结果之一就是买更多美国的产品（而不是国债），虽然我们最需要的可能是洛克希德的产品。这是一个最简单的药方。这些年很多中国的经济学家都在呼吁，中国经济的增长下一个动力必须是消费者。我十分同意。我同岳父说，像您这样(节俭)的人如果多开支10%，中国的经济就好得不了了。然而，更多消费是中国（和世界）最需要也最难得到的。股市暴跌60%，房价下跌预期仍在继续，经济衰退的心理预期更加严重，我们只会更加收紧腰包。《纽约时报》又说了，中国政府应该给人民更好更广泛的医疗和社会保险。cheap 在拥有这个玩具之前，也许你也能通过其他无线路由器来播放itune上的音乐和上网，仅此而已。如果有了itouch，（也许必须连接Apple Express Station。苹果通吃价值链。），你就可以随时随地在家以任何姿势上网了（马桶上或床上）。天气预报和报纸头条以及邮件我都是在马桶上浏览完成的。换言之，马桶也可当成书桌了。我家（居然）没有书桌。以前要等到周一或更晚些才能收到《经济学人》，现在可以在周末就把主要内容都看完了。《纽约客》更是要迟到2周以后，虽然并不耽误，因为多数我看的文章时效性都不强，倒也无所谓。</summary><link
