The dictatorship over the speech freedow is dying-hard in Chinese society across the Taiwan Strait.
The Chen Shuibian adminstration threntens to forfeit the license of TVBS after the TV station released a photo showing a senior official in Chen's DDP was involved in a casino scandal which he denied firmly before.
Chen's news watchdog blamed TVBS has minor shareholders with Communist China support, which turns out in fact to be Hongkong investors. Opposition parties and ordinary people in Taiwan are threntening to take to the streets and burd down the building of the news regulator.
Across the strait, the Chinese national TV is taking advantage of this event to bash the Chen administration on its mean approach over TVBS.
Ironically, the Chinese news watchdog is no better. In fact, they are the world class mater in terms of forfeiting media that is aganist its will. Alike its predecessor government/party, Guomingdang/Nationalist Party, and the empire regimes before, the Party whips its control on media through the propaganda department of communist party. Any media aganist it must be closed immediately.
In this regard, Chen and his party is really Chinese, though they refuse to label themselves Chinese.
